GCBAA hosts an annual Winter and Summer Meeting, along with a number of regional events throughout the country. The regional meetings serve to provide education to members that is specific to that demographic. While they are not as big as the Winter and Summer events, the regional meetings showcase education on industry trends and technologies, much of which is presented by GCBAA member companies. The Winter Meeting is held in conjunction with the GCSAA Conference & Trade Show. This meeting provides an opportunity for all GCBAA members to hear the state of the Association, discuss issues relevant to the golf construction industry, and network with other members. GCBAA hosts an Opening Reception prior to opening day of the GCSAA Conference & Trade Show, with over 500 members and industry professionals in attendance. This reception has become the signature event for opening night. The Summer Meeting meeting includes educational seminars, a member benefit expo area, golf tournament, fundraising auction, and other social events.
GCBAA, working in partnership with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), offers members access to a health insurance program administered by Association Health Programs (AHP), an insurance broker who specializes in association management benefit plans. This member benefit is available to all eligible GCBAA members and their immediate family members. The program has options for members in 38 states. Due to state legal restrictions, the program is not available in 12 states: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. U.S. territories and those outside of the United States are excluded as well. Please review the FAQ document for general information about the program.
